I can’t remember what made me think of making these, but once it was in my head it had to be done! They looked so fun and flow-y, and the minute I saw the fabric I knew it was going to be perfect! Since I didn’t want to be drowning in fabric but I wanted the billowy effect, I made slits on each outer leg. I found the instructions somewhere online….google “how to make harem pants”. It was really easy! The waistband and ankle cuffs are elastic.

I so want to make this type of pants. I am new to sewing, but this is on top of my to-try-to-do list =)

I have an old vogue pattern to make these and I am so very tempted but very scared of that temptation…I’m pear shaped so it’s probably not good for me….but I applaud that you went for it and sewed up a pair…they look airy and comfy!

adorable! they look cool to wear on a hot day but at the same time you get that fun billowy look that only lots of fabric can give!
