I call it “Slav skirt” because it reminds me of the clothes of my grandmother who was serbian, dark fabrics and little flowers. I actually made it first too short and added this flowery fabric to make it less “serious”, then I added the little belt with a little pocket because the skirt didn’t have any. I hope you like it even if my camera isn’t great and I could only take blurry pictures! Any comments are welcome!

Me too, surely an inspiration for the belt with two D-ring fasteners and a zippered pocket attached, if I interpret the photos correctly! You made your grandmother proud with such an intelligent tribute.
