Description

This is a self-drafted pattern using the slash-and-spread technique. Really simple skirt with yoke pockets lined with spotty linen, invisible zip (put in using my own unique method…), and a hook and eye on the belt. The corduroy is great to work with because it holds the swinging shape really well. I used Cal Patch’s brilliant book ‘Design-It-Yourself Clothes’ to draft the pattern.

Love the skirt -the pockets are perfect! I use Cal Patch’s book, too! It has great beginning drafting skills instruction.

Thank you for your sweet comment! It’s a great book isn’t it? She makes drafting seem a lot less scary and the patterns are really lovely too!

Thanks, Mary! I wish I could say I made the top too, but it’s an old River Island favourite…!
