Description

I’m always curious to try out new patterns, and I have been looking at this a while.. I choose a light weight fabric as suggested in the pattern and I think it’s similar to Georgette. Since it was transparent I had to lined it and have used micro satin as lining. It was really fun to make and I think it turned out very well, and I have to say; I like this style a lot! :)
The cowl top is made of viscose jersey of my favorite color, and I have used the upper part of a jumpsuit pattern from Patrones 2013. If you like you can see my earlier jumpsuit here I like the pleats on the shoulders because it drapes very nicely.

Material Notes

Light weight fabric and viscose jersey.

Beautiful skirt, and great top with it. Congrats on being the ‘face’ of the skirt pattern; it would definitely encourage me to purchase the pattern.

I like it, Ellen! Did you use a rolled hem technique to finish the hemline? The top is a reliable look for you…love it!

I have used the technique describe in the instruction, like you use on chiffon or light fabric with narrow zigzag stitches. Thanks for your kind words Curry!

Beautiful skirt! This skirt is the only model I would make for the Ultimate Challenge….But I had so many ideas fot other projects, plus that I didn’t find a really interesting fabric, so I left it aside. I was wondering why nodoby had sewn it till now…It’s really nice skirt and I like it on you!
