I´m very pride of these 2 pieces, because they are my first self constructed patterns.
Some time ago I bought a pattern making book .
I am absolutely fascinated of the possibilities that open up when you construct your own patterns. Not only you can make made-to-measure clothes, but also, starting from 3 basic patterns (skirt, pants and top) you can vary them and bring in any design element you want.
I started with the simplest patterns: straight skirt and shirt without darts.
In order to make them more interesting, I added a balloon ruffle to the skirt and butterfly appliques to the shirt. The butterflies originate from the fabric of the Camelia Dress .
