Last year I wanted to make an orange/red skirt like the one I saw in the “Marni” spring collection. So I went to the shop and got myself some orange fabric. But there never was time to make the pattern,… and the fabric stayed in the cupboard.
I’m happy I didn’t make the skirt back then. When I saw this pattern in burdastyle this spring I knew it was perfect for this orange fabric. In fact it was better than the pattern I had in mind before. This had gathers in the back, and might not be so flattering. I had to scale the pattern to a size 46, but without further alterations the fit was good. I have plans to make the skirt in a printed fabric.
I was a bit frightened to make the skirt as it looks rather difficult, but it wasn’t difficult at all.
As the fabric has some lycra it feels comfortable to wear.
