Thank you all for the nice comments! PrutsPrinses, I’ve just added a picture with shows the shape of the skirt to its full extent. In that, you can see the front pleat. AnnetteB, Burdastyle just posted a how-to for a circle skirt, and this is basically the same (although they use the circle for skirt and overlap, here it’s skirt only). So you could just follow the how-to. For the high waistline, remember to measure at your real waist, not where your usual skirts or trousers have their ‘waist-bands’. In my skirt I used a 4 cm wide straight band as the top waistband and a 5 cm wide lower shaped waistband (made from my skirt sloper, but if you would measure your waist and 5 cm under that, added about 1 cm ease and tried and tested curves, you should be able to make that without a sloper).

Seems fairly simple but soooooo gorgeous! I love the red and I want to twirl too now! Did you just make two pleats? I can’t find them in the picture :) It looks like a few little pleats :) Enjoy your skirt, find yourself some party to go twirling!
