I haven’t been able to find a skinny style jean with a medium or natural rise, so I made these! I altered the basic pant pattern from the Sew U book by Wendy Mullin so that it had a slightly higher rise and so that the leg opening was a slim boot. To do the back pocket stitching I printed 2 circles on, overlapped them on the pocket, pinned them, and sewed over the paper. This was a fun project!

I love them! The pockets look very profesional!! I haven’t attempted making jeans yet…. But when I do, I’ll no longer consider myself a novice sewer….
