Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I have recently been converted to skinny trousers (or pants if you are so inclined and, yes, I know I am a bit behind in trends) and bought some expensive ones recently that are, shall we say, difficult to wear (i.e. need to be hoiked up all the time). I then saw this pattern and thought I might try making some some. I saw this ponti called “Bleach Boys” in Tessuti and there you go. Haven’t worn them yet (just finished today) but they seem like they will be very comfortable.
I found the description of how to do the zip and waistband a bit cryptic for me so copied a different pattern and was quite pleased with the result (neatness isn’t my forte usually). I haven’t (successfully) made many trousers so didn’t bother trying to adjust the fit but as they are stretch it is quite forgiving. I wasn’t mad keen on the turn-ups so I just went for crop instead.
Overall I’m pretty pleased with them and I think they’ll be good for spring.

They are pretty high waisted which I prefer for skinny styles. I find they tend to work their way downwards because the legs are tight which results in an unsightly muffin top situation. Perhaps I don’t have the right fit!

These are great pants and they look great on you as well. I have just finished making a skirt in this very same fabric from Tessuti and I love it as it is so comfortable, so I bet your trousers will be great to wear as well.
