I went shopping in the US and didn’t realise that US clothing sizes look similar but aren’t the same as Australian sizes. I’d be very lucky to fit into an Australian size 10, but an American 10 turns out to be more around an Australian 16. So I had this denim skirt lying around for almost 2 years, never wore it because it almost fell down past my hips but didn’t want to give it away because I still quite liked it. As I was/am on a bag making spree I decided to turn it into an easy bag with pockets already in-built. I taught myself to do a felled seam on that one, too (very proud ;). It’s a little bit big, but I still use it everyday to carry my laptop and other goods and chattles around.
Banana Republic denim skirt, yellow topstitch thread, seatbelt tape for the strap (very comfy!)
