These two hats are for my mother and her sister, to protect them from the summer sun.
These hats are distingushed by one having 6 panels that form a rounded top and the other having 7 panels, which form a flatter top. The back side of both hats is tacked to achieve a style that is preferred by the sisters. A red bow appears in the back for adjusting each to a personalized fit.
The basic patterns are available in the Japanese free pattern site, てづくり&ふりま. I altered the size, and made these style by using fusible interlining and eyelets.
Try out menswear inspired wardrobe staples, like unconventional jackets and high waisted pants.
