This costume was a complete nightmare from the get-go and still not even officially complete, in my eyes, in accordance to match the movie version costume. The fabric needs to be rubberized still.
Again, I love Tron Legacy the movie, Siren Gem was another one of the costumes I just had to re-create.
The pattern was designed by a good friend of mine, Grace Ramos, and I sewed all must of been 15 different pieces together of that pattern myself on my Singer machine.
Reflective tape was used to make it “light up” when flash photography is used to take a photo.
The pattern was a nightmare to make as well as sewing up this suit but well worth it to me! I love it! :D
Please have a look at my photos. I have also included a photo of the actual movie Siren Gem costume movie poster, actress Beau Garrett to show the Siren costume re-creation work I did here in this project album.
White and grey/silver spandex fabric
Reflective tape
some grey fabric was rubberized with silver liquid latex for just the finger tips. Later version of the fingers tips are now casted out of slip casting latex for mold making colored with silver arcylic paint.
Wedge shoes were two different pairs of shoes which were frankensteined together to get the close toe shoe I needed. The tops were red and painted white.
