I went on a trip to Paris, France and bought lots of fabrics, but this black and white baroque was one of my favorites. I love how elegant and versatile this dress is! It’s exactly like my design which makes me really happy! I want to say that I know my other two projects were a little lame, but I’ve been sewing for over a year and still learning so it’s fun. I would love to thank Marina v. K. for posting the “Toile, Anyone?” article which convinced me to make a toile and probably saved this beauty from getting ruined and saved lots of mistakes! (BTW, I’m going to post another picture of it hemmed and better fitted at the waist) Anyway, I hope you like it! :D
100% cotton is probably best.

Thanks! I mixed a couple patterns. I pretty much used the back and front of: http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/022011-tank-dress-with-gathered-skirt and adjusted the straps so that they could become thinner.
