Cosy winter cape made of plaid wool, lined with flannel-backed polyester lining. I used a vintage Simplicity pattern from 1964, but I think it looks very modern! The great thing about making a cape is that it’s easy to sew! Simple seams, not a lot of fitting required. It’s as comfortable as wearing a wool blanket, but so much more stylish!
I wrote up a tutorial on matching plaids, which is great for any plaid sewing project!
