This pattern has many pieces I want to make yet, but I started with the long jacket and I now I wear this all the time! I decided to line my jacket because the cotton I used on the outside wasn’t super heavy and I needed just a little more weight for the cool spring mornings. I had some adventures while lining this thing, but it all worked out great in the end! I tried adding pockets and they do exist… except they’re TINY. I’m obsessed with pockets, so on my next jacket I will have to plan them out a little better. I’ve had requests on my blog for a sew along so I think I’ll do that later this year… stay tuned!
This project turned out to be a fabric stash buster! The green sateen cotton was originally supposed to be for a dress that never got made and the pink lining was left over from some other project, too. I had a blog sponsor at the time and had left over money in my monthly shopping allowance so I purchased the abalone shell buttons — I am still in love with these buttons!!
