Two tone dress inspired by the lovely Sunnilj9 ’s “Naughty Secretary”. Had it not been for her version of this dress, I would of continued to pass up this pattern as I had previously done so countless of times.
I stayed true to the original pattern with the only adjustment being the length (went slightly shorter) and French seams in the bodice. Fist time working with a sheer fabric. Using the correct needle, thread, and a single needle throat plate did wonders. The fit is divine.
Maybe not a naughty secretary, but at the very least a cheeky librarian.
Sheer crepe and bottom weight cotton sateen.

I was able to pick it up at Jo-Ann Fabric. They were having a .99 sale on all Simplicity patterns week before last.

I’m not fond of the color combination but you did a wonderful job. If you’d pair it with a red or yellow belt I’d probably like the colors better.
