I love the princess seams on this dress and all of the other little details! The notched neckline is very flattering, the pleated cap sleeves, the notched half sleeves, the ballet back. For the first dress, i followed the pattern instructions and placed the pockets at the front side seams… but for the second dress, I tried placing the pockets on the side seams. It works great either way, but having them in the front side seams makes the dress a little extra special.
I used a waffle weave fabric as well as a regular cotton print. I would even use silk or taffeta or corduroy… This dress works with a lot of fabric types!
