I liked this pattern at first sight. But since it often happens that empire line dresses with gathered waist look like maternity clothes (is it just me who thinks this?!) I looked hard for the right fabric. I ended up using very light and soft viscose and light cotton as the underlining. This dress was quite easy to make and I like how it turned out. The combination of fabrics makes the dress really comfortable to use and I believe it will be great on those super warm summer days which I hope we’ll get in a couple of months :)
