Pattern Description: Peplum top with various neck/yoke options. This time I made View B.
Pattern Sizing: I made a 4 and it fit perfectly.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes! Exactly.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very clear.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? As I’ve mentioned before (and others), the 3 button closer back is really impractical (not to mention difficult to create the loops out of fabric). This time I used a 20in separating zipper. Next version I’d like to try a small side zipper.
Fabric Used: Navy cotton sateen from Joann’s with coordinating navy lace for contrast yoke also from Joann’s.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Replaced the 3 button back closure with a separating zipper.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes! This is my 3rd version. I’ve now tried views B, C, and D. Highly recommend—so many design options!
Conclusion: Recommend, but consider modifying back closure. Once you fit the pattern, the design possibilities are endless and you can whip up a top in a few hours.
