Southern, New Ha...
Lately, I’ve been loving the paperbag skirts, bringing me back to my childhood years. So, I decided to take some silk dupioni that I had excess from wedding materials, and made this skirt in a couple nights. Nothing fancy, but I took 2 oblong rectangles as the front and back, and made 2 long stitches to case the elastic waist. I added some ribbon edging as well as some pleats. I added a lining, to avoid any worries of having a see through skirt.
I wore this this past weekend for a dinner show … it was comfy and fun to wear!
Apologies with the photo quality (lately I’ve been taking photos with my mobile phone camera).
