This was super easy to make. I actually made my own pattern and did it from start to finish in an afternoon. I’d bought the fabric (4-way stretch spandex) for my “crazy leggs” leggings project. I thought it was going to have more of a sheen to it so wasn’t as enthused about it as fabric for leggings. I had to attend our intern’s graduation and thought that it would make an awesome dress.

I am pretty happy with it and am pretty sure I will make it in other fabrics. It’s pretty hard to go wrong with two side seams and a piece of elastic!

Material Notes

I used spandex but imagine any fabric would work, preferably something with some stretch, for comfort and so that you don’t have to add zippers/buttons. I used 2-1/2" elastic at the top but narrower would work too. I’d also imagine that you could build a bandeau bra into it.
