I am a novice sewer, so i have been sewing some basic patterns, and this is the first one i feel i can put up here on Burda! This pattern is Style 2325, that dates back to the 80’s that my mum bought. She found it recently and thought i should have a try!
The pattern has darts to the bodice and the skirt is cut on the bias. The pattern was 2 sizes to big for me, so i had to play around with the darts till i was satisfied it was a good fit!
I found the material on the reduced pile in my local fabric shop and thought it would suit the dress style. I am fairly happy with the results and its given me a bit more confidence with my sewing!!!
Sateen? I think thats what it is! black thread, zipper.

Adjusting fit can be SO frustrating, but you did a great job! This cut looks lovely on you, and it was an excellent fabric choice, I love the bold print!
