This simple blouse is the second spring and summer project I’ve completed out of my list of six garments. For the pattern, I copied a readymade blouse I have but altered it to include a bateau neckline, a back buttoned opening, and tucks. I constructed it with French seams and narrow edge finishes to keep everything tidy. Although subtle, my favorite feature is the embroidery at the neck. Only one strand of floss in a matching color keeps the design dainty, and I love how the chain stitch echoes the tear drops.
