This project is based on burdastyle 04/2011, # 123 (not available online), inspired by Hardlyangel’s pink version (http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/simple-is-best-pink-dress
I used linen with some lycra, so I could omit the zipper. With the dark blue linen the neckline looked too tight and formal, so I made a V (also in the back). As the dress looked somewhat baggy on me I took in the princess seams a little bit under the bust, making it a bit more curvy.
I’m very happy with this simple dress that suits so many occasions. A second version in brown cotton is in process, this time I cut the bodice and skirt parts of the panels as one.
