I loved a BCBG knit dress I’d bought on clearance and wanted another similar dress. I couldn’t find a thick knit that I liked, so I ended up facing my fear of using a woven fabric and successfully installed an invisible zipper.
I didn’t use a pattern but just laid out the dress I liked. I made the neck a little higher and the waistband a little wider, and I used pleats instead of gathering the fabric. I had to wing it on the darts since the original was a knit and didn’t have any.
