I wanted a skirt for myself so I found a pattern (on sale for 99 cents at Joann’s) for a simple elastic waist skirt. I decided to try it on a cheaper piece of fabric so I could make whatever adjustments that were needed and then decided I wanted pockets in the skirt. I drafted a pocket piece and then went to the internet and watched a few videos on adding the pockets. Here is the result of my skirt. It turned out okay so now I am ready to make it with some nicer fabrics. Love to wear skirts in the summer!
