Silver Cowl Back Dress

Added Jan 4, 2014

By MegH

This dress is the best of both worlds… comfortable and classic! I used our Jersey Cowl Top pattern as a base, and simply flipped it around for this back cowl style. There is something so elegant about a cowl in the back of a dress, and I saw a perfect opportunity when I made this pattern. I will of course try out this pattern with a front cowl because it fit so well!

I used a shimmery silver knit fabric for the main of my dress, and I also added a bit of contrast with a black mesh panel. This project is for my December Mash Up, so be sure to check it out for my full start to finish process. I can’t wait to wear this dress out on the town, and make more since it was such a quick sew.

Material Notes

Poly-knit fabric

Such a bold statement and so much fun to accessorize! (Esspecially with the black panel you added, this would really make a great statement necklace pop!) I like that you turned it around, the cowl in the back gives it a very elegant look.
