Silky pants with paisley print

Added May 25, 2013

Vienna, Austria

Silky pants with paisley print from Etro fabric. Very easy to do it only one note. You need a lot of time to think about it how to cut the fabric to achieve the right effect. I was walking around the fabric for at least 2-3 hours unless I took the scissors in the hand. :-)

Material Notes

satin silk with stretch

I used an elastic, a gum simply, because the fabric itself was allready with elastan. There was no other option in my opinion . Working now on something similar, using the same pattern, once again silk fabric, but this time uni black colour with leather side stripes.

These pants are beautiful. The cut is amazing. It is tricky to get the pattern to match on both sides.

I am planning to make a pair of silk pants, but I’m still searching for the perfect pattern. I have one question – what type of waist closure did you use? (zipper fly, invisible side zipper, elastic, drawstring…?)
