lately, since the weather has turned a bit nicer to be precise, we have started going for little daytrips here and there. Last week we went to Felixstowe, and the first thing I set eyes on driving towards town centre, was a fabric shop. So naturally I dragged everyone into the fabric store where I found this amazing silk jersey and some lovely other material. I’ve decided that whenever possible I shall return with a “fabric souvenir” and wear something made from that “souvenir” on the next trip :-)
so, I wore this top on our trip to southwold:-)) and I have also managed to make the most wonderful dress which I shall wear on Friday night, so pictures of that soon to follow !

Material Notes

      thank you Luz..
Seemed like a good idea, but unfortunately won’t always be possible because fabric shops are quite scarce nowadays :-(

thanks Mary. Wait til you see my dress in this material. I am madly in love with it and can’t wait to show it off here, just waiting for a nicer setting than my front room to take a picture.
I love my idea about buying fabric from trip to trip, but have already discovered a flaw: most places (like yesterday) are so tiny they don’t have fabric shops. Guess when I do find a shop on one of our trips, I’ll just have to make sure I buy enough material to make up for all the times I won’t find anything :-0)) xx
How’s the decorating coming along ????
