I had this silk in my stash for 4 years. I graduated last summer so I rewarded myself with a silk kimono.
I rubbed of the pattern from an old H&M kimono that I liked and left out all of the ruching so it looks more elegant
The silk has dots and little figures from a chess play woven into it.
I finished the edges with french seams and added a wide stripe of biais tape along the neckline and front. I also added lace at the sleeves and hem.
After all, I am a practical girl, so I even added pockets.
Silk, Stocksale at Vronique Branquihno (2008)., vintage lace (thriftstore), thread
