(I didn’t get any of the back, but I’ll try to post some soon.)
Silk Twill and Silk Charmeuse, Fully Interfaced, Fully Lined, Back Invisible Zipper
This project was meant to be quick and easy and ended up being a bit of a nighmare. At first, I ran out of silk twill and had to use the fancy ivory charmeuse silk for the side panals. (I like the charmeuse touch, but it makes the dress look too nice and bridal…I wanted something less formal.) Then after sewing all the pieces, the dress fit horribly!!! It was pulling funny in areas and just didn’t look right. So (sadly) I had to seam rip and repattern the dress (while still using the precut pieces.
It ended up turning out nicely. But now I need a time and place to wear it!
