Description

This is my favourite summer dress – very comfortable, easy to sew and one of a kind! :)
It has 2 layers of fabric – the upper one is about 10cm shorter than the lower one. It is slightly draped on one side and has a flower attached on it.

Material Notes

Elastic materials ONLY: Silk, viscose or any other light, nicely draped fabric, viscose thread, elastic band (3cm wide), scissors, paper to make the pattern, sewing machine

    Hey, I’m just starting out and I was wondering, is the material underneath something stretchy and the one on top chiffon? I really want to try making the dress but don’t know what material to buy :L thanks so much.

      Well, the whole dress was made from the same stretchy material. I really don’t know what kind exactly, something silky, transparent. It needs to be stretchy because it is a tight fit. I hope this helps. I’d like to see your dress when it’s finished. :)

    As for the amount of material, you need twice the length of the dress, counting from your armpit to about your knees :)

    Hi! I loved your dress!! It’s perfect for a fabric I have since last year… hehehe… but I hve the same problem, can’t download the PDF.

      I saw the problem, so I contacted the service here at the site, and they said they would try to solve this issue. In the meantime, maybe I can try to upload the pattern once again… :)

    if you haven’t already, you should also put your instructions in the Patterns section because I’d hate for people to miss what a really simple pattern this is and how you can easily create it to fit your own measurements…and as we can see from your version how you can get such a lovely result!!
