Silk Slip Lingerie

Added Jan 6, 2009

This was my Christmas vacation project, while spending time with my brothers. I know slips are a bit old-fashioned, but I wanted to get some practice making lingerie and it seemed a good project. This one is made for a small standard size. I used silk remnants I found at the fabric store near where my brother lives. I really enjoyed making this – the result has a gorgeous feel as well as looking sharp. As for my other projects, the design is pretty much my own.

Material Notes

silk fabric, polyester thread, lace trim, buttons, fray check

turned out very beautiful and seems as if it would feel wonderful on bare skin.

Breathtaking! What a stunning slip you have designed. The colour, fabric design and pattern design are all wonderful. This is one of my favorite creations on BurdaStyle! Well done Gedwoods, I think any woman would love to have such a slip….. I definitely would wear this!
