A hat I made in Millinery. Almost completely hand sewn.
Hand blocked buckram for the crown and a patterned brim. I made the dark blue flower out of silk shantung and organza and glass beads for the bud. The ribbon for the hat was a piece of printed chiffon that I cut on a bias. The lining is made out of taffeta and finished with a grosgrain ribbon as a sweatband.
I had a great teacher who makes beautiful hats: http://www.aheadproductions.com
