Long Beach, Cali...
This is my version of the Bombshell from the class with Gertie. Wow, what a challenge, but so much fun, and quite the learning experience!
I added an inch at the top of all the bodice pieces for a bit more modesty, you can hardly tell though, ha!
I want to make this again, but in a casual fabric, and maybe just the top. For now, I just need a couple simple projects before taking this on again :)
The dress made it’s debut at a wedding, with a short black blazer for a little warmth.

Emerald green silk shantung, twill tape, grosgrain ribbon for waist stay, cotton for lining, muslin for underlining bodice, hmmm, more I’m sure….
What do you think of these summery styles?
