Butterick 5214. Made with silk du pioni. Self lined bodice, underlined bodice with muslin. I added a satin skirt lining. I also made a hem facing with blue printed cotton which made the hem crisp and easy to stitch invisibly. I had to add a dart to the bodice “neck” edge to make it fit me. Otherwise there was a lot of gaping going on. Also lengthened torso by 1" as per usual. I had fun wearing this to the opera Rigoletto a couple nights ago. I got compliments on it as well which is nice because then I feel like phew ok so it’s not too bad.
Silk dupioni, satin, muslin underlining, cotton hem facing. Fabric covered button for neck. Side zipper and hook and eye.
