This dress is meant to be a display piece – made of a patchwork of cut squares in dupioni and taffeta. Both were sewn to dissolving interfacing with multiple colored threads – including metallic and pink – then soaked in water then pressed. The pieces were then cut and sewn together into a dress. There is one singular front piece and two back panels. The lining is charmeuse. Hand drafted design.

Looks cool! I purchased dissolving interfacing ages ago. Never really used it as I found it really plastic… It is a shame you didn’t post close ups of the embroidery. Thanks for reminding me about this dissolving stuff, will have another try!
