i’ve been making the samples for myself and the photos for you, and i’ve been wearing this dress non-stop since i made it. the fabric is very soft light lovely forest designer surplus italian silk. amazing drape and slight sheen.
i’ve been wearing it loose over a long skirt or leggings or jeans, or tucked into a long skirt. when it gets colder, it will act as a nice slip between your tights and your skirt, plus extra silky warmth :)
raw topstitched barbarian seams. tre cool.

I just adore this dress…I might end up posting that for everything you put up here so I’d best reign myself in!
Although I’ve made a promise to myself to not buy any more clothes in the near future, just make them, I’m going to have to add a few Ledthread pieces to my wardrobe – I just love it!
Trully, trully inspirational – I think the JJ and this were what sparked my lost love of sewing and turned it into ‘why don’t you try turning that pattern into something more like…..this………sketch sketch sketch….!’
