My sister commissioned a hot pink maxi skirt like Anthropologie’s Lengthening Rays Skirt (which cost $128 and is made of polyester chiffon).
My version was made of real silk chiffon, cost less than $25 to make (thanks to the awesome discount fabric store near me, which just happened to have the perfect color of hot pink chiffon for ~ $6 a yard)
I liked it so much, I made myself one in dark teal.
silk chiffon outer, silk lining underneath, invisible zipper

Absolutely lovely skirt. And that you made it in silk is even better.

This might also be lovely in a cool summery cotton voile or gauzy fabric. The upgrade to silk was an excellent idea. I’ve been looking for just this pattern. Thanks!

Thanks for the comment! I do think a cotton voile would be a great fabric choice! I might just have to try that next…

I think I prefer your version to the Anthropologie’s version. Yours hangs better. Love it :) …and at a fraction of the price. Bargain!

Thanks for all the nice comments!
If anyone downloaded the pattern in the first 2 days, it apparently didn’t have the pattern pieces attached, but that has been resolved, you just need to download it again.
