Silk blouse & high-waisted pants
Added Jul 19, 2011
DescriptionThis is my first attempt at pants. I used a burda pattern, and I believe it is from Burda May 2011. They are supposed to be 3/4 length, but with my height they ended up being ankle length. I much like them that way. Other modifications: used size 36 pattern but without seam allowance, and left out one dart from the back. Next time around, I will make the waistband half its width, just because I think it will give it a cleaner look. For the blouse I think I used a Simplicity pattern, but I can’t remember the name. It is pretty basic, with darts at the bust-line and bias tape for the neckline. I used a silk skirt that I got years ago but didn’t get the mileage it deserved… so I made it into a blouse!
