A-line sheath from a 1967 McCall’s pattern. I wore this to a concert/theater production of Beatles’ music performed by a wonderful cover band.
I omitted the facings in favor of using bias to bind the armscyes and neckline. For the back zipper, I used this helpful tutorial using tape to keep the zipper in place while stitching:
I am planning to make this my “go-to” dress pattern after a few more adjustments. Only two main pattern pieces, front and back,if I do not include the optional collar and facings.
