I made this skirt yesterday from pretty much the biggest potato sack of a dress. I got the dress from Goodwill a month or so ago and it was just a buck. I loved the color and it had the original tags still on it (score!). I used an awesome tutorial thats been floating around the web with a few adjustments of my own to emulate the Spring Burberry draped skirt.

I thought it looked very Burberry-esque! I’ve been drooling over that skirt for ages. Your version looks great. I’ll have to look for that tutorial you were referring to.

I saw this tutorial a while ago and its on my to-do list. It looks to need a fair bit of material too do the twists. Do you find it bulky in the front?

I love the color too, and it’s a perfect length & proportion! Cute styling!

I really like it. It’s such a drastic change from the potato sack dress! You did a nice job with the twists. It looks complicated when it’s finished, but the tutorial shows how it’s actually not too difficult. I was surprised by that. I love the color too!

yours diy is better than the original from the tutorial and way more wearable than the burberry ones. Very nice! I wasn’t really into the burberry spring line until I saw this..

I’d love to see the back of the skirt too.
