I made this dress today when I was bored. I decided that it was time the third child got something made for her!!
I didnt use a pattern. The bodice is lined and I put pin tucks ( I think thats what they are called) in the front. The skirt is gathered. The hardest part was the straps and made thin straps with a pleated frill (not sure if you can see it too well in the photos).
Sorry about the photos, the baby wouldnt sit still and then when she would she kept trying to grap the camera to eat it. I ended up with so many photos of her hand!!! Fun though!!!

Cotton scraps I bought off ebay, two buttons, bias binding.
