Description

Yes, I know it sounds odd, but I have friends who swear by these things when hiking! Basically, I took the Sidone pattern, eliminated the waistband and the back seam, used the top portion to make a yoke about 4" wide, and turned it into a wrap skirt. (I used the front piece twice—each side is angled and over more than half the length.) I also made a velcro tab inside and a buckled tab outside to hold it closed, and added a cargo pocket.

Material Notes

nylon, moleskin (for inside yoke), velcro, twill tape, buckle, button

What a clever idea, and functional too! Nice attention to detail.

Something for my granddaughter; she will enjoy wearing this at the shore. She lives on an island off the Rhode Island coast.
