I just successfully completed installing an invisible zipper with a side seam pocket.
I do alterations primarily and while ago, I came across a pair of pants that needed the waist and hip taken in. I noticed that the invisible zipper in the side seam pocket was an interesting detail and decided that I’d try this technique the next chance I got to sew something from scratch. Well, here it is.
This is a pair of shorts I’m making. The zipper stops at the top of the waistband. The pocket and zipper went together seamlessly (pun). I used a 14" zipper to allow for plenty of room for the pocket.
The next time I do this (which will be soon so I won’t forget how), I’ll post a tutorial.
Happy sewing everyone!

Hi Liliv,
I’ll be working on a striped skirt soon, so I’ll add the tutorial for that project.
I just posted the finished shorts too so take a peek.
