Description

pattern for this dress came from march issue of burda magazine 2009
i loved the dress the moment i first saw it five years ago
and have no idea why it took me so long to finally make it
..
while five years ago this dress would be a bit tricky for me to pull off
nowadays it’s a pretty easy task
even in such a free will fabric as rayon challis
..
i skipped the lining (because i plan to wear this dress over a slip)
the only lined and interfaced piece is the yoke..
skirt is constructed from 5 pieces
and i really like the shape of it
(and i don’t remember ever making a similar one)
..
see more pics on my blog mokosha

Material Notes

1,5m of rayon challis
fusible interfacing for the yoke
60cm invisible zip (at the back)

Difficulty

Intermediate

Really lovely dress. Such a flattering shape and beautiful choice of fabric. It suits you so much. Just goes to show how important it is to save all our Burda mags! :-)

Nice dress; great pattern matching that I can see on the side seam.

thanks.. pattern matching went pretty well, until the very last seam, back one – below the zipper it’s shifted a bit, but i decided to leave it like that

Jao, obožavam ovu haljinu!!! I ja sam letos sašila sebi po istom kroju, a pre toga sam cimerki sašila jednu, a i Tea takođe ima haljinu po ovom kroju :D I sve su odlične, uključujući i ovu tvoju! Najbolji pattern ikad :)

I love this dress! It looks so flattering and fits you perfectly! Too bad I don’t have this magazine, would be a pattern I would sure like to sew myself! Enjoy it! Brigitte
