I had this idea to construct a photographer’s vest to hold all my gear and keep my hands free while I’m shooting. I just used different patterns to piece together what I wanted. It’s roomy enough to hold my camera and lenses, but not too bulky as to get in the way. And I lined it with a fun bow printed fabric! The pockets have zippers to keep my stuff safe when I’m in a large crowd, and the pockets are lined with a soft foam for added protection. I was actually trying to finish it in time for a festival, so I didn’t finish the edges very well.

main: a sturdy cotton/polyester blend, lining: acetate?

That’s something I could use, too. My stuff doesn’t fit in my bag any more. Very good idea!

Great job! I love how it has a corset/armor appearance ( because I do know that photographing some jobs is like running into a battle of sorts!) Looks ultra feminine despite the fitted look, in fact it has that urban-sexy-renegade-photographer look to it (the urban safari!) Fabulous.

HaHa Thanks! That’s exactly what I was going for… something that wasn’t so baggy but more fitted and feminine.
