This skirt is uber long, and I need some advice! I’ve been dying to try out the pick-up skirt technique… but I’ve been too nervous of it going horribly wrong…
So I tried it out on this skirt, but only with pins (literally, it’s being held into place with pins atm) and I now need some advice…
Should I leave it as it is? Or should I rip off the band-aid and just DO IT!?
(I do think it is a bit too short for my liking, so I may lengthen it a bit when doing the final sew…)
…But what do you think?
I think it’s too short…

Okay, so I just tried the bubble skirt idea… And altho, I liked the idea, I jus don’t think it suits the skirt… I didn’t bother taking photos cos it didn’t look too well…
… so I’m going with the pick up skirt! :o)

Why don’t you go for the best of both and add some small ribbon ties on the inside, so you can have it both ways!!

I love it when it’s picked up ! But maybe you should end it as a “bubble” skirt, you see what I mean? That’s what I would do.

Hmm… I wouldn’t have thought of that… I’ll try that and see if I can post a pic of 2mro if I have time… then I can see which ppl think is better…

its much cuter with the pick ups, you should do it! if you’re worried about length, then don’t pick it up as high (leave it a smidge long).

I think y.ou should go for it and do the pick up skirt, I love it. I recently just got introduced to the pick up skirt tutorial and am working on a floor length version.
