Description

This jacket is based on pattern #105 Burda 09/2008. I bought this lovely wool in Copenhagen, and I fell in love with the colorful fabric! Ji-ha – so Happy :) Since I didn’t bought so much of the fabric, I found this nice pattern. I have used press buttons and the others on the outside is just for decoration. As lining I have used satin fabric.

What a gorgeous jacket you have made Ellen! This is perfect. And do I even need to say how much I love the fabric and your choice of lining. One can never go wrong with pink satin – right :) I would love to have a jacket like this to cheer up these dark and cold mornings <3

Ellen you are such an inspiration to so many people and this jacket just jumped out at me. The colour, jacket and everything is so exciting. The wool looks like boiled wool, is it a heavy fabric? I see these fabrics online and tempted to purchase but I think they may be too heavy for me, I don’t live where it snows though. Another winner by you!

Thank you very, very much for such kind and lovely comments Regan. I think this is too heavy for you where you live, specially at the moment!.. I normally buy fabrics on the Internet, and I think this is medium weight – so it’s more for use in the cold places like wintertime in Norway.. :-) Happy weekend to you!

Hi Ellen.I have been away and I have now just caught up with all of your wonderful projects. This jacket is just gorgeous and the fabric is beautiful. I have never seen anything like it and probably wouldn’t considering where I live. You are so lucky to be able to purchase such beautiful fabrics in Norway that keep you warm and help you look so sunny and bright. Well done, sewn perfectly as always.

It is not a jacket – it is a winter-autumn dream…. I’d love to wear it at summer, too, and ready to move to the North Pole for summer time to do that instead of spending it at our South seaside:-))) Great fabric: both the texture and the print. Despite the brightness all the relief lines are seen well and the jacket keep the shape well. Very positive thing for cold grey weather (and warm, I’m sure!)
