Description

This is a pattern from Fitted Knits by Stefanie Japel. It was my first attempt at knitting something other than a scarf or a shawl, so I was nervous about how it would turn out. All in all, I think it looks fantastic, especially since I only started knitting last winter and had to make some adjustments to the pattern due to my height (I’m 5’11"). I used a different yarn than what was suggested, so I had to adjust my needles to obtain the correct guage. I used Rio yarn by Tahki Yarns, which is 50% alpaca, 35% merino wool, and 15% silk. Needless to say, this sweater is insanely warm, despite it’s short sleeves. I almost can’t wait until the summer is over to start wearing it again. I’ve knit a couple of patterns from this woman and I would highly suggest her patterns to anyone who is interested in knitting something that is actually fashionable and form fitting. As with any knitting book, check on-line for corrections to pattern errors. There is one minor correction for this pattern. Just google “Fitted Knits Eratta.”

Thanks! You should definitely make something. Even the patterns that say they are medium difficulty are actually quite easy.
